Alexander keeping an eye on the coastline
There are plenty of boats and ferries going over to the numerous
small and large islands in the area. Among others, a lot of
people go to visit the island of Koh Pha-Ngan which lies north
of Samui and takes around 30 minutes to get there by boat.
In general Koh Pha-Ngan is even more peaceful than Koh Samui,
unless you happen to be there when one of the famous full
moon parties is taking place. These parties attract hundreds
of people who listen to loud music and dance on the beach
all night long. We decided to skip the full-moon party as
we had the kids with us!

The beach where we were taken to by boat
Instead we chose a delightful trip by longtail boat, where
we visited a couple of different tiny islands and did some
snorkelling around them.

Food at the beach
This was a wonderful trip where we were served a traditional
Thai meal (of roasted rice with chicken and vegetables) on
the beach. On one of the islands there was only one resort,
so this could be a very attractive option for someone looking
for a complete rest with very few people around.

Sara swimming with the fish
The fish were fed and came really close to the surface.
